Mario
celebrated 26 successful years of not-for-profit management,
community development, and corporate leadership in 2006.
He loves what he does professionally and lives a healthy,
balanced life.
He
is bright, sharp, and witty and has a finely tuned intelligent,
yet approachable work style. Hes an awesome communicator,
both written and oral, and possesses a deep understanding
of human behavior. He looks you in the eye when he engages
in dialogue.

But
perhaps he is best known for his innovative approaches to
working with For-Impact organizations. He is a
constant, 24/7 learner! He is a skilled consultant who actively
listens, thinks, and creates with mission impact in
mind.
He
possesses a solid understanding of and experience in developing
long-term donor relationships; soliciting significant major,
capital, and planned gifts; managing staff and volunteer
resources; and working with boards of directors, community
partners, and collaborators. Hes an excellent coach
and sounding board for organizational leaders.
Prior
to creating the i team, Mario was the founding principal
and chief knowledge officer for BHC Consulting Group, LLC,
after building an extraordinary consulting career as Executive
Vice President at Hiller Associates, Inc., a nonprofit fund
development firm in Massachusetts from 1998-2004.
Before
joining Hiller Associates, Mario held a number of positions
for the American Cancer Society for ten years. He began
in 1990 as the director of Major and Planned Gifts and moved
on to become the Assistant Vice President for Development.
From there he became the Vice President for Donor Relations,
the Southern California Director of Gift and Estate Planning
and finally the National Senior Philanthropic Advisor to
the American Cancer Society. While at the American Cancer
Society, Mario created and implemented four major programs,
all of which are current successful national programs: planned
giving, major giving, donor relations, and probate &
trust
administration.
Mario
began his professional career as the Associate Director
of Annual Giving at the California Institute of Technology
(Caltech) and at the University of LaVerne.
He
holds a bachelors of science degree in political science
and a masters degree in public administration. Mario is
a graduate of Stanford Universitys Leadership Academy
and currently resides in Sunapee, New Hampshire.
